The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) has announced the passing of their Audio Music Producer, Moses Dennis after a short illness.
In a statement released on Tuesday, April 8, KBC said Moses fell ill on the night of April 6 and was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Until his demise Moses served as an Audio Music Producer under Studio Mashinani and was based at Studio 2, Lang’ata Studio.
“It is with deep sorrow that we inform you of the passing on of our colleague, Moses Dennis, popularly known as Mose, who served as an Audio Music Producer under Studio Mashinani. He was based at Studio 2, Lang’ata Studio,” read the statement in part.

“Moses fell ill on the night of 6th April and called his brother for assistance. He was rushed to the hospital but was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.”

Studio Mashinani is a government initiative launched in 2017 to enable talented youth to access facilities for recording music and spoken word at subsidized rates.

The project is part of the Ajira Digital Program, which promotes innovative digital solutions and creates income-generating opportunities for the youth through their creative talents.
Operational Studio Mashinani centres are located across various counties, including Kisumu, Kitui, Gatanga in Murang’a, Lang’ata in Nairobi, Mombasa, and Komarock in Machakos.
His body is currently preserved at the Saitoti Mortuary in Rongai Sub-County Hospital, located in Kajiado North Sub-County, Kajiado County.
A postmortem examination is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 9:00 a.m., to establish the cause of death.
“We remain in close contact with his family and will share further updates, including funeral arrangements, as soon as they are available,” KBC added.
“Let us keep his family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.”

Journalist Found Dead in His House in March
The news of his demise comes a few weeks after KBC journalist Fredrick Parsayo passed away under unclear circumstances at his residence in Kinoo, Kikuyu Constituency, where he was found dead.
The media house noted that the incident was reported to the Kinoo Police Station and his body was moved to St. Teresa Mortuary.
KBC also confirmed that Parsayo’s family has been informed of the death of their kin, and authorities have launched investigations to determine the cause of his death.
“Fredrick sadly left us on Friday, 21st March 2025, under circumstances that are still being investigated, at his home in the Kinoo-Kikuyu Constituency. This unexpected loss has deeply affected us all,” read part of the statement.
