Dr Kenneth Chelule has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZ) effective April 21, 2023.
According to a gazette notice released by the Investments, Trade, and Industry Cs Moses Kuria, Chulule will serve as SEZ head for the next three years.
“It is notified for the general information of the public that the Board of Directors of the Special Economic Zones Authority has appointed Dr Kenneth Chelule Langat as the Chief Executive Officer of the Authority, for a period of three years, with effect from the 21st of April 2023,” the notice read in part.

Chelule previously served as the Director of Partnership, Strategy, Research, and Resource Mobilization at the authority.
“Dr Chelule is an experienced professional with more than 20 years of expertise in industrial research, technology transfer and MSME support,” Special Economic Zones Authority said in a statement.
Among his other previous roles is his role as the Chief Research Scientist and Deputy Director at the Kenya Industrial Research and Development Institute (KIRDI).
