The Kenya Power & Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced three vacancies; two for managerial positions and one under the communication department all based at the central office.
In an advert on Tuesday, November 19, KPLC invited applications for the positions of Manager, Enterprise Risk Management, Insurance Services Manager and Customer Experience Officer (graphic design).
“Kenya Power is seeking to recruit results driven and highly motivated individuals to fill the following exciting and challenging positions,” reads part of the advert.
KPLC has outlined the duties and responsibilities for the three positions, the requirements and the application process.
Manager, Enterprise Risk Management
This position will be reporting to the General Manager, Business Strategy.
The role will be on renewable contractual terms for a period of five years based on performance and business requirements.
The key duties and responsibilities are outlined in KPLC website.
KPLC appointment requirements include.
1.Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Finance, Business Administration, ICT or related field from a recognized Institution.
2.Membership of the Institute of Risk Management, Global Association of Risk Professionals, Institute of Actuaries, Chartered Insurance Institute.
3.Advanced Degree will be an added advantage
4.Ten (10) years working experience, five (5) of which should have been at Supervisory level

KPLC Insurance Services Manager Vacancy
The position holder will be reporting to the General Manager, Finance and the key duties and responsibilities have also been outlined on the website.
Interested candidates must meet the following requirements
1.A bachelor’s degree in business, Law or other related field from a recognized university
2.Member or Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute Chartered Insurance Practitioner or Insurer
3.Ten years working experience, five (5) of which should have been at Supervisory level.
4.Proficiency in Computerized financial systems and Data analysis

The manager role on salary grade MG04 will be on a renewable contractual term for a period of five (5) years based on performance and business requirements.

Customer Experience Officer IV
This position holder will be reporting to the Manager, Customer Experience.
The key duties and responsibilities have clearly been outlined in KPLC’S application portal.
Applicants must meet the following appointment requirements
1.Bachelor’s degree in graphics, Architecture, Business Administration or related studies from a recognized institution.
2.Diploma in Graphics Design and/or UI/UX Design will be an added advantage
3.Three years working experience in a related field
4.Attention to detail, Communications Skills and Interpersonal skills.
5.Problem Solving and Analytical Skills
6.Creativity and innovation
7.Strong design skills and commitment to company vision and values.

Candidates offered employment shall present the following clearance certificates:
1.Valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
2.Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
3.Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
4.Current Clearance from Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).
5.Current report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
