The family of a 17-year-old boy in Kangemi is demanding justice after their kin died following an alleged assault at the VVIP Rooftop Club in Nairobi. According to the family, Wilberforce Kisia, a dancer and social media influencer, passed away after being attacked by two security guards at the club following a misunderstanding—an account narrated to them by several witnesses.
“They said they were dancing until around 9 p.m., when one bouncer handed him over to a senior one who grabbed him by the neck and led him into a corridor,” one of the deceased’s brothers explained.
The family added that Wilberforce was last seen on Sunday, May 11, 2025, just days before they received the devastating news of his death.
“The last time I saw him was Sunday. He said, ‘I’ll be back Monday morning.’ But by Tuesday, there was no word nothing. They hadn’t posted him on their club social media pages. That’s when I knew something was wrong,” said his brother, Kennedy Ambani.
Wilberforce Kisia Found Murdered
According to reports, Kisia’s body was found inside a room at the club. A postmortem revealed that the young influencer died as a result of prolonged assault.
Wilberforce’s mother is now appealing to investigative agencies to ensure justice is served.
“Help me if you will help me. My child will not come back to life but help me get justice for my child.”
So far, the two security guards alleged to have assaulted Kisia have reportedly been arrested but are yet to be arraigned in court.

Wilberforce’s death has sparked outrage across various social media platforms, with users demanding justice.
A user by the name Ghetto TV Kenya said, “Why take the law into your hands??? May your soul rest in peace!”
Another user, Yagga, commented, “He was just trying to have fun. He didn’t deserve death.”
User marcxencia added, “It’s so sad May his soul rest in peace.”
Strathmore University Student Found Dead in a Club
A similar incident occurred on February 19, 2025, when the Mass House Club at Ngong Racecourse in Nairobi faced public outrage following the death of a Strathmore University student who was allegedly assaulted by club security guards.

According to the victim’s brother, the student’s body was found on the stairs. A police report later confirmed that he had been killed.
In response, Mass House issued a statement saying:
“Although we are unable to share detailed information regarding the incident, we at Mass House are fully cooperating with the relevant authorities in their ongoing investigation to understand the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.”
