Mbitini Girls’ Secondary School is a church-sponsored girls’ boarding school located in Mbitini, Mbitini Sub-Location, Kisasi Sub-County, Kitui County, recognized for its strong academic performance and KCSE results.

It is categorized as C2 under the new Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum. 

Mbitini Senior School is registered with the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) under code 13354201.

The school operates as a boarding secondary institution and falls under the regular SNE category, with no special needs designation.

Performance and Enrollment

Mbitini Girls has shown notable improvement in its KCSE results over the past year.

In 2024, the school recorded a mean score of 6.21, which rose to 6.46 in the 2025 KCSE examination, reflecting consistent academic progress.

This improvement highlights the school’s commitment to excellence and effective teaching strategies.

Apart from studies, Mbitini participates in various extracurricular activities.

In June 2025, the school won the Kitui County soccer title for the third consecutive year. It had previously advanced to the National Schools Ball Games after being flagged off by the Kitui Governor.

Elsewhere, in August 2025, the school hosted a dazzling showcase in Kitui County, featuring talent in creativity and elegance.

In July 2025, Form Four students conducted an educational visit to the County Assembly of Kitui to learn about legislative practices and parliamentary proceedings.

Additionally, Mbitini girls school is a participant in The President’s Award – Kenya, a prestigious programme focused on youth empowerment and world-readiness.

The school has an enrollment of 560 and 25 teaching staff.

Mbitini Girls High School Fees

Under Ministry of Education guidelines effective January 2026, fees for public senior secondary schools were standardised based on institutional classification.

As a C2 category public senior school, Mbitini Girls Senior School has an official annual tuition fee of KSh45,054, with Term 1 payments for new Grade 10 learners typically KSh 20,400.

However, the total cost for boarding students may be higher once additional approved charges are included.

These may cover uniforms, personal effects, and development-related contributions, depending on school requirements. Parents and guardians are advised to consult the school’s official fee structure for a detailed breakdown.
