According to Morara, he needs a new strategy on how to mobilize his loyal supporters to have his back whenever he is under attack.

The activist at the same time pointed out that he needed a break as police officers have “become smart” and alleged that his arrests coincide with major events.
“I am taking a small break to restrategize. I have a problem that needs a solution. Most of my supporters cheer me online but when I am in trouble they never show up.

He added, “The attacks have intensified, and the police have become smart, they do it on days when there is something big happening so that it goes unnoticed. That’s why I need a break.”
The lawyer-turned activist has maintained that he is genuinely fighting for Kenya but highlighted that he needs Kenyans to also fight for him.
“Therefore, I need to find a way to convince Kenya to fight for me. Ni hayo tu kwa sasa.”

His lawyers followed him to Hardy where they negotiated for his release pending arraignment.
Shortly after, Morara was released on police bond with Lawyer Cliff Ombeta confirming that his client had been freed.
Ombeta said Morara will go back to the Lang’ata police station on October 15 for planned arraignment.
“We are driving out of the station now until October 15 to know the way forward. He is free,” he said.
According to the charge sheet, Morara was arrested over his appearance at the Bomas of Kenya during the public participation event to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
The charge sheet seen by The Kenya Times detailed that, “On October 4, at Bomas of Kenya in Langata subcounty within Nairobi County, while attending a public participation forum to impeach Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua with others, not before the court, Morara did create disturbance in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace by uttering the words “kufa dereva kufa makanga” which made the public to react to the utterances.”

Attack at Bomas
On the said day, Kebaso was attacked at the Bomas of Kenya after a scuffle erupted at the venue.
Morara, who had gone to join Kenyans for the Gachagua impeachment public participation, was preparing to make a presentation at the Bomas Hall when goons quickly descended on him, throwing chairs and brazenly attempting to beat him up.
Unidentified rowdy youth threw chairs towards the activist’s direction as he was being evacuated to safety.
Cameras at some point also showed a shaken Kebaso pushed to a corner as the angry mob continued baying for his blood. Even after being escorted from the venue, the riotous gangs still followed him down the hallway.
Following the chaos, police were deployed at the scene to contain the unrest.
