The County government of Murang’a has announced internship opportunities for graduates.
In an advertisement published on October 17, 2014, Murang’a County announced that it is seeking to recruit 20 Pharmaceutical Technologist Interns and 30 registered Nurse Interns.

“Murang’a County Government Internship Program is a government youth program whose main objective is to offer college graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build skills to enhance their chances for employment, networking, and entrepreneurship,” the county advertisement read in part.
“The County Public Service Board, therefore, wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons as interns under the county internship program in the specializations outlined above.”

The interns who qualify will be required to work under contracted terms for one year.

How to Apply
Interested and qualified intern applicants were directed to apply online through the County government official website on or before Thursday, October 31, 2024.
At the same time, applicants from other Counties are encouraged to apply. Further, the county warns that any form of canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
Additionally, women, minorities, and persons living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
The County further stated that shortlisted candidates will be required to produce their original Identity Cards, academic and professional certificates, testimonials, clearance, and other relevant documents in support of their applications.
Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.

Murang’a County Internship Program
The Murang’a County Internship Program has been up and running for nearly two years since its initiation in 2022.
The program is open to all Kenyan citizens who are not more than 35 years. The county considers educational qualifications. That means a graduate from a recognized training institution who has completed a degree course in a relevant field and has never acquired employment anywhere.
Furthermore, the applicant should not have benefited from a similar internship program or been exposed to work experience related to their area of study from the time they graduated.
The application must be supported by the applicant’s University or college institution study records.
