Nandi County is set to expand access to affordable housing and student accommodation under a KSh18 billion investment in housing projects, hostels and modern markets, as the Government advances its development programme across the region.
President William Ruto inspected the construction of the Kaptumo Affordable Housing Project and Kaptumo Modern Market in Aldai Constituency, highlighting investments aimed at expanding housing options and supporting local economic activity.
Under the Affordable Housing Programme, the KSh18 billion investment in Nandi County is expected to deliver 3,500 housing units, hostels accommodating 6,000 students from universities, technical colleges and Kenya Medical Training Colleges and 15 modern markets.
The housing component is intended to expand the availability of residential units, while the student hostels will provide accommodation for learners pursuing higher education and technical training.
