The hike in fare prices comes following the move by Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) which saw fuel prices go up last week.
Matatu Owners Association chairman Albert Karakacha stated that the adjustment of fares will cushion the investors in the transport sector under the organization.
Meanwhile, petrol is retailing at Sh195 up from Sh179 when EPRA announced the new fuel prices.
