Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi, CS for National Treasury John Mbadi and Transport CS Davis Chirchir on Friday, November 15, announced several appointments under their dockets.
Mudavadi, who is also the acting Interior CS appointed Rev. Jefferson Kabiro, Wamwene Kariuki, Amos Mutemwa Wanderi, Stephen Maina Waithaka, Alice Njeri Gaiti, Sammy Kent Mang’eli, Peter Mutinda Mutua (Dr.), and Jairus Kiguta Wambugu to be members of the Board of Visitors of Kamae Girls Borstal Institution.
Mudavadi also announced other appointments including those of Teresia Jerusah Michael and Gideon Gitonga Thuranira as members of the National Lottery Board. As per the notice, Teresia and Gitonga will serve on the board for three years.
“The Prime Cabinet Secretary and acting Cabinet Secretary Gender, Culture and Heritage appoints— Under Part e (i)— Teresia Jerusah Michael; Under Part e (iv)— Gideon Gitonga Thuranira; to be members of the National Lottery Board, for a period of three (3) years,” read part of the notice.

On his part, Treasury CS John Mbadi appointed Fatuma Hussein and Professor Ateng to serve as members of the Board of the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis.

Mbadi also made appointments at the Local Authorities Provident Fund Board. He appointed Halima Ali Omar and Christine Kibet to be members of the board.
At the same time, Transport CS Davis Chirchir announced the appointment of investigators for airplane accidents.

Peter Maranga was appointed as Chairperson of the committee, and Fred Aggrey Opot as Vice Chairperson.

The committee members include Nduati Herman Njana, Mike Mulwa, Ephanus Kamau, Valentine Wendoh, Nicholas Bondo, and Brenda Mwango.
The terms of reference for the investigation team shall be to review all the preliminary accident reports for accidents involving Kenya-registered and/or operated aircraft presented by the Republic of South Sudan and the Federal Republic of Somalia for the last five (5) years and action to avoid reoccurrence.
The investigation team shall conclude its work within one (1) month of this appointment and submit a comprehensive report to the Cabinet Secretary.

Chirchir also made appointments to the Transport Licensing Appeal Board. He appointed Benson Gichohi Ngure, and Hillary Songoywo, to be members of the board.
Meanwhile, President William Ruto appointed former Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero to be the Chairperson of the Kenya National Trading Corporation.
Ruto revoked Tene Debasso’s initial appointment and replaced him with Kidero. The President explained that the appointment is in accordance with the State Corporation Act.
