President William Ruto has congratulated Donald Trump following his win as the 47th President of the United States.

Your Excellency President Donald Trump,
On behalf of the Government and the people of the Republic of Kenya and on my own behalf, I convey to Your Excellency, my warmest congratulations on your election as the 47th President of the United States of America. Your victory is a testament to the firm resolve of the American people to repose confidence in your visionary, bold and innovative leadership. As you embark on this phase of your journey of leadership, Kenya stands ready to further enhance our cooperation on matters of mutual interest including trade, investment, technology & innovation, peace and security, and sustainable development. Kenya values its longstanding partnership with the United States spanning over sixty years grounded in our shared values of democracy, development and mutual respect. We look forward to deepening our collaboration under your leadership as we work together to address global challenges, promote peace and security and foster inclusive economic growth for the benefit of our people. Congratulations once again Mr. President-Elect, and may your tenure bring continued progress and unity to the United States of America and strengthen the bonds between our two great nations. Ruto Allies Applaud Trump’s Victory
President Ruto’s congratulatory message comes hours after various Kenyan politicians allied to him showered Donald Trump for the historic victory over his opponent Vice President Kamala Harris.
His victory attracted a torrent of congratulatory messages from Ruto’s allies who took to social media to loud him.
Sampling a few of the comments, Kirinyanga MP Anne Waiguru wished Trump success as takes over the mantle once again to lead the United States.
“Congratulations President Donald Trump on your election as the 47th President of the United States. I wish you success as you lead the nation forward,” she stated.
Similarly, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro forms part of Ruto’s allies that sent congratulatory messages to Donald Trump. In his statement, the MP hinted that the Republican policies are a good fit for Africa and the Global South.

“Congratulations President Donald Trump, the 45th & 47th. Republican policies have always been better for Africa & the Global South. The Global Economy will be better with imminent monetary easing under Trump,” his statement read in part.
In the final sample, Nandi Senator Kiprotich Arap Cherargei as well congratulated Trump and the Republican party for the win.
“Trump defeating the incumbent VP Harris government project is the textbook plan that H.E Ruto used in 2022 to defeat Uhuru govt backed project in the name of Odinga. ,” he asserted.

Trump’s Victory Garners Attention
The victory of Trump has garnered significant attention from various global leaders who have expressed optimism for good relations and renewed collaboration with the US under the leadership of Trump. Some of those leaders include Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
President Ruto’s statement puts him among the other leaders who highlighted their willingness to work with Trump’s Administration. His statement hints at similar objectives of peace, sustainable development and security.
