The National Youth Service (NYS) has announced 993 job vacancies for its graduates in Australia.
In a statement, the service noted that it was able to secure the opportunities for its graduates in a partnership deal with an undisclosed reputable company.
Further, the notice has indicated that some of the jobs are on permanent basis while others are for a 2-to-4-year contract.
“Through our client reputable and duly registered manpower outsourcing company in Kenya, we are delighted to inform our esteemed graduates of exciting opportunities in Australia as tabulated below,” the statement read in part.

Details of the Vacant Positions
NYS graduates have been encouraged to apply for the various positions including Light vehicle mechanics, which has 120 vacancies.
Candidates who are successful will earn up to Ksh6.5 million every year with an additional 11 percent Superannuation.
100 slots have been set aside for Diesel mechanics. These candidates will also earn Ksh6.5 million per year and an additional 11 percent Superannuation.
At the same time, the Australian company has set aside 50 positions for Panel Beaters, who will earn as much as the previous two positions.
Other jobs under the same salary range include Auto Glaziers (Window Fitters) personnel who have 38 slots, Motor vehicle electricians, who have 115 slots, and Fitter Machinist who have 50 jobs reserved for them.
Also, on the list are Painters, who have 130 jobs reserved by the company and Construction carpenters who have 200 jobs set aside.
On the other hand, the company will pay up to Ksh8 million per year and additional 11 percent Superannuation to candidates who will successfully secure the Ceramic wall and floor tilers’ position.

Qualifications and How to Apply for the NYS Jobs
Candidates will be required to go through a six-month probation period and will be working for 38 hours every week.
The Companies commercial vehicles will provide transportation for them while they are under contract.
Moreover, they will be issued with a health insurance as per Australian Immigration Requirements and will get assistance to bring immediate family members.
However, they will be required to take care of their own Cost of travel, Visa, Pre-Departure cost and medical examination cost.
Candidates will also undergo an English IELTS test and are required to score an overall of 5 and individual band score.
