Russian drone strikes are surging in Ukrainian communities, mainly targeting residential areas, and as a result, the deaths of children among civilians have been recorded.
According to the latest report by Anton Gerashchenko, a Ukrainian Patriot and Advisor to the Internal Affairs Minister (2021-2023), Ukrainians grieve every day due to the Russian attack.
“Russia killed three kids: two 1-year-old boys and a 2-year-old girl, and a 34-year-old man in a drone strike on a residential area in Bohodukhiv, Kharkiv region. Two more people were injured, including a 35-year-old pregnant woman,” Anton Gerashchenko stated.
The drone is said to have struck a home, destroying it completely. Another area under Russian attack is Vilniansk in the Zaporizhzhia region.

“Russia continues to terrorize Ukrainian civilians,” Anton Gerashchenko stated.
Russia Drone attacks
Russian drone attacks were initially focused on energy sources, but a shift in the target area was observed with the attack on residential areas.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President of Ukraine, Russia launched more than 2,000 attack drones, 1,200 guided aerial bombs, and 116 missiles of various types at Ukrainian cities and villages in a week.

“Almost every day, they strike energy facilities, logistics infrastructure, and residential buildings. And this is happening even as diplomatic efforts for peace are ongoing,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated.
During the drone attack on Sumy and Kharkiv regions, Kyiv region, and the capital, as well as Dnipro, Odesa, and Vinnytsia regions, there was damage to residential buildings.
Russia used 450 drones to attack the areas, leaving 9 Ukrainian casualties. In Kyiv, drone strikes caused fires in high-rises and damaged a kindergarten.

In a report made by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the report on the attacked areas left 6 settlement regions destroyed due to constant drone strikes.
Additionally, the drone strike in residential areas, including Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Kryvyi Rih, also claimed the lives of civilians.
According to the Ukrainian officials on the assault in January, two people died in Bilohorodka, and in Zaporizhzhia, the attack damaged more than 100 apartments in residential blocks.
