Fresh questions about President Donald Trump’s health surfaced on Monday, 2nd March, after observers noticed a rash-like mark on his neck during a public address, adding to ongoing scrutiny surrounding a visibly bruised and injured hand that has drawn attention for weeks.
The new concern emerged as Trump delivered remarks on U.S. policy toward Iran. Political journalist Aaron Rupar was among the first to point out the visible mark, writing on social media that the president appeared to have “a significant rash-like injury on his neck” in addition to what he described as a “disfigured hand.” According to Rupar, the mark was visible on the right side of Trump’s neck, close to his ear.
The observation quickly gained traction online after being amplified by progressive news outlet MeidasTouch, which reposted Rupar’s comments and drew attention to the timing of the appearance as Trump addressed both the United States and Israel on the escalating situation involving Iran.

The outlet posed a rhetorical question referencing previous explanations for the president’s hand injury, asking whether the neck mark could also be attributed to routine activities.
The White House has not issued an official statement addressing the mark on Trump’s neck. However, administration officials have previously commented on the president’s hand injury, which has been the subject of repeated public discussion since it was first noticed during a signing ceremony at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in January.
Donald Trump’s Hand Injury
According to CNN, Trump told reporters that the heavy bruise on his left hand occurred after he accidentally struck it on a table during an event. Speaking aboard Air Force One, the president said he had “clipped it on the table” and applied a topical cream afterward. The White House backed that account, stating that Trump hit his hand on the corner of a signing table during a “Board of Peace” event in Davos.
Trump also attributed his tendency to bruise easily to his use of aspirin, explaining that he takes a higher daily dose than typically recommended as a preventative measure. His physician has previously confirmed that the president takes 325 milligrams of aspirin per day, a dosage known to increase the likelihood of bruising.

In a statement seen by The Kenya Times, Dr. Sean Barbabella, physician to the president, said Trump was applying a “very common cream on the right side of his neck,” adding: “The President is using this treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks.”
The timing of the observation has intensified public interest, coming as Trump faces heightened scrutiny over his handling of the conflict involving Iran and mounting international tensions. Images and video clips of the president’s recent public appearances have circulated widely online, with supporters dismissing concerns as exaggerated and critics questioning transparency around the president’s health.
