Kenya Prison Shortlists Candidates for Cadets and Technicians Jobs [FULL LIST]

The Kenya Prison Service has shortlisted 1,231 candidates for various positions, including Cadet Officers, Technicians, Artisans, and other job roles.

In a statement released on June 7, 2025, KPS announced that the interviews will take place from June 10 to June 13, 2025.

“Following the advertisement for the recruitment of Professional Cadets Officers, Technicians and Artisans that appeared on the 7th of April 2025 editions of the Star and The Daily Nation, the Kenya Prisons Service is pleased to announce to the general public that the under listed are shortlisted candidates for the specific posts they applied for,” read part of the statement.

The interviews will take place at the Prisons Staff Training College, situated along Ruiru – Kiambu Road off the Eastern Bypass.

Kenya Prison Service Issues Directives to Candidates

According to KPS, candidates who do not appear on the list should consider themselves unsuccessful.

Successful candidates will undergo an intensive Government-sponsored paramilitary initial training course lasting for not less than nine (9) months for Technicians/ Artisans and thirteen (13) months for Professional cadet officers.

Selected candidates will be required to carry their original identification card, birth certificate, KRA PIN certificate, academic certificates, and other relevant documents on the day of the interview.

The service has warned candidates that interviews will only be conducted at the specified venue and on the indicated day and any individual purporting to conduct interviews away from the specified venue should be regarded as a criminal.

Evans Kipkuruat Koech from Elgeyo Marakwet, Faith Jepkemoi Ngeno from Baringo, George Jeremiah Otieno, Griffine Obura Joel, Griffins Omondi, Nicholae Gogol Opana, and Rajesh Olango Olwe from Homa Bay, Gesora Memba Mosambaria from Nyamira, Gloria Wanjala Ayera, Marleen Injete Wanjala, and Tedy Abednego Simiyu Masika from Bungoma, Judy Cherotich Rotich from Bomet, Karenmary Wambui Maina, Nancy Wanjiku Mwambia, and Patrice Njeri Mwaura from Kiambu.
