Comedian Eric Omondi recently rallied support from fans and well-wishers to aid a woman in Naiobi’s Mathare Mabatini, whose house roof was removed by her landlord due to unpaid rent amounting to Ksh6,000.
The comedian’s involvement began when Priscilla Wa Imani visited the destitute woman and her children living in a roofless house amid heavy rains.
Priscilla took immediate action after sympathizing with the family.
She first started by providing them with food as she discovered the family was surviving on water.
Moved by the distressing circumstances, the comedian, known for his compassion towards fellow Kenyans, took to social media to trace and assist the struggling family.

Eric Visiting the Widow
In a video post, he implored his followers to help identify the family’s exact location and reach out if they had any contact information.
Subsequently, Eric visited the woman in Mathare, sharing the family’s plight on his Instagram.
The woman, identified as a widow, had been relocated to a different house by Priscilla.
Under his initiative “Sisi Kwa Sisi,” the comedian appealed to his supporters to contribute funds to cover the woman’s rent, electricity bill, and kickstart a business for her.
“We are going to change her life. That is what team Sisi Kwa Sisi do. The removal of the roof was like a blessing. What is meant to break you, God will use it to uplift you. Keep sending her money,” added Eric.

Emphasizing the impact they could make; he assured the public that the funds would not only cover a year’s rent but also establish a business for the widow and secure education for her children.
In a final call for continued support, he further acknowledged the generosity of individuals like Carolyne Wanjiru, who gave Ksh30,000.
He expressed gratitude for the community’s unity and resilience, emphasizing that adversity could transform into an opportunity for upliftment with the collective support of compassionate individuals.
