Kenyans online reacted to a video shared by popular Comedian Eric Omondi showing a schoolgirl crossing a flooded river on a wooden bridge.
In the January 13 video shared on his social media platform, Omondi called out political leaders from the unidentified location.
Additionally, Eric appealed to his fans online and Kenyans to help him trace the girl.
“How do these leaders even sleep at night? So, this little girl faces death every morning. If she makes one little mis step that’s it, we lose her!” lamented Omondi.
The outspoken comedian further went on to disclose that he is currently looking for the girl, in what he termed as a way of saving her.
“I am looking for this girl, we have to save her. We will bring her and her family to Nairobi. She will never cross this bridge of death again,” he said.
Omondi pinned an appeal to Kenyans online to help him find the girl, asking whoever who recognized the exact location to comment or send him the location.
Omondi’s appeal drew mixed reaction from across section of Kenyans with some deeply concerned with the lurking danger.

However, while acknowledging Omondi’s willingness to help the girl, other challenged the comedian to instead help the entire community and build a bridge at the location.
Kenyans’ appeal to Omondi
Nanaa Nyaga, a social media user appealed to Omondi to mobilize funds and build a bridge, which will save more children.
“Instead of saving this one girl and her family, why don’t we save more children by building a bridge. We believe in you Eric. Mobilize us and we will come through,” she said.
Also, a user echoed the sentiments noting that while saving the girl by relocating her to Nairobi was a good idea, other children in the area also face the risk.
Robin Orlando noted, “A very good turn of her life if she perhaps gets to Nairobi, but will you bring all those other pupils to Nairobi?
It would have been better if you built a good bridge for them or other long-lasting avenues that will serve other little girls like her.”
Many Kenyans further appealed to the comedian to use his influence and organize for the construction of the bridge.

“There must be 100s of kids, women and men who use that bridge daily, it’s their option. How about build a bridge for the whole village? It’ll make a lot more sense,” said Bonnie.
The vocal comedian is known for his philanthropic acts and has at many times mobilized for fundraising campaigns among Kenyans through his social media platforms to assist those in need.
