A provocative social media post by conservative commentator Candace Owens has reignited intense debate and backlash after she accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of responsibility for the September 11, 2001. These terrorist attacks killed nearly 3,000 people in the United States.
The claim, made on Owens’ social account following recent joint U.S.-Israel military strikes on Iran, alleged that Netanyahu “murdered 3,000 Americans on 9/11,” asserting that Israel, not al‑Qaeda, was behind the hijackings that brought down the World Trade Center towers and struck the Pentagon.
Owens’ post was a direct response to a comment by Netanyahu, in which the Israeli leader sought to justify aggressive military action against Iran by contrasting it with Tehran’s support for armed groups he called terrorists. “You see the difference,” Netanyahu wrote, “The tyrants of Tehran target civilians. We target the tyrants of Tehran to protect civilians.”

In her reply, Owens wrote: “You murdered 3,000 Americans on 9/11. For starters.”
What Official Investigations Found
Comprehensive investigations into the September 11 attacks, including the bipartisan 9/11 Commission Report, concluded that 19 militants affiliated with the extremist group al‑Qaeda hijacked four commercial aircraft and carried out coordinated suicide attacks on U.S. soil.
The attacks resulted in the collapse of the World Trade Center’s Twin Towers in New York City, a strike on the Pentagon, and the crash of Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. These findings are widely accepted by the U.S. intelligence community, historians, and global scholars.
U.S.–Israel Strikes on Iran
The controversial exchange comes amid heightened military and diplomatic tensions in the Middle East. In recent days, the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes against Iran in what officials have described as a targeted campaign against Iranian military and missile infrastructure.
Netanyahu has defended Israeli participation in the strikes, framing the actions as necessary to counter threats from Tehran and protect regional stability. His comment that triggered Owens’ post was part of that broader messaging, contrasting the nature of Iran’s actions against civilians with what he described as Israel’s focus on combatting “tyrants.”

Hegseth, who serves as Trump’s Secretary of War, publicly defended the strikes and framed the campaign as decisive and technologically advanced. Speaking to reporters, Pete Hegseth said that U.S. forces are employing drones and other autonomous systems integrated with AI, though he declined to specify the full scope of classified technology in use.
“The only limits we have is President Trump’s desire to achieve specific effects on behalf of the American people,” Hegseth said, emphasizing the open-ended nature of the operation. “You can say four weeks, but it could be six, it could be eight, it could be three.”
Hegseth underscored the aggressive posture of U.S. forces: “Death and destruction from the sky all day long. We’re playing for keeps. Our warfighters have maximum authorities granted personally by the president and yours truly. Our rules of engagement are bold, precise, and designed to unleash American power, not shackle it.”

Candace Owens should keep her mouth closed when she has not evidence or international knowledge to support her absurd allegations.
There is already too much chaos across the globe to justify such a radical statement.
If only Hogsbreath’s war making skills were as bad as his grammar, but they’re not
they’re even worse.
