SportPesa, Kenya’s giant online gaming company, proudly introduced its newest millionaire, Dominic Musili, after his stunning win of Ksh 20,801,394 in the Midweek Jackpot.

The 40-year-old father of three correctly predicted the outcome of 13 matches, securing the life-changing prize with a modest Ksh 99 bet.

Musili, a loyal SportPesa player for over five years, became the fifth SportPesa Midweek Jackpot winner in 2024, joining a growing list of lucky winners who have transformed their lives through the gaming platform.

His remarkable victory was celebrated with a grand unveiling ceremony that captured the excitement and spirit of triumph.

A grand unveiling across Nairobi

The festivities kicked off in the bustling heart of Nairobi, where Musili’s victory was honoured with a police-led convoy that passed through iconic locations such as Juja Road, Dandora Roundabout, and Jacaranda, before the official unveiling in Pipeline.

Musili, who was visibly elated, arrived on stage to the rhythm of the famous “Anguka Nayo” dance, a symbol of his incredible journey from everyday life to jackpot winner.

Reflecting on his win, Musili recalled the moment he received the congratulatory message from SportPesa Kenya, a moment he described as “surreal.”

“I was in Nanyuki when I placed my bet. After the first day, I had already predicted eight games correctly, which gave me hope of winning at least a bonus. When I realized I had nailed all 13 games, I couldn’t sleep. I stayed up the whole night—it was unbelievable,” Musili shared.

From dreams to reality: Musili’s plans for his winnings

Musili plans to invest his winnings in real estate and explore new business opportunities, turning his long-held dreams into reality.

“Before I won the Kshs. 20.8 million Midweek Jackpot, I always dreamed of owning property. Now, I can make that dream come true and also dive into business,” he added.

The winning journey continues

Dominic Musili joins the ranks of other recent winners, including Bernard Kipkoech, Charles Obwoge, and Wellington Asena, who collectively won Ksh 17.8 million in August, and Omondi Oyoo and Athuman Salim, who shared the Ksh 26.8 million jackpot in June 2024.

The SportPesa Midweek Jackpot has now reset to Ksh 10 million, while the Mega Jackpot remains unclaimed and has grown to a staggering Ksh 384 million, awaiting the next big winner.
