Kenyans across the country were glued to their screens and mobile phones last night as the SportPesa Midweek Jackpot came to a dramatic close, with KSH 16,099,654.00 up for grabs. The buzz was undeniable — from estate kiosks to Twitter timelines, a new kind of midweek ritual has taken hold: the pursuit of a life-changing win.
This wasn’t just another Thursday. It was a national moment of hope, excitement, and possibilities. Thousands participated, making their 13 predictions and watching intently as the results came in. Across WhatsApp groups, barbershops, and break rooms, fans followed every outcome, hoping their selections would match the winning combination.
Midweek Jackpot: A new Kenyan tradition
“The response we saw this week shows that the Midweek Jackpot is no longer just a gaming product — it’s part of Kenyan culture,” said Willis Ojwang, Head of Communications at SportPesa Kenya.
“It’s about chasing dreams in the middle of the week, not waiting for a weekend miracle.”

Mass participation: Engagement soared this week, with new and returning players taking part from every corner of the country.
Access for all: With free browsing on Safaricom and Airtel, and seamless mobile money payments, participation has never been easier.
Cultural shift: Midweek gaming is now reshaping how people think about luck, strategy, and digital entertainment.
What’s next?
Although the dust has settled on this round, the dream continues. New jackpots are always around the corner — and with each one, the question remains: Who’s next?
