The United Arabs Emirate (UAE) Ministry of Defense has announced that on May 10, the air defense system successfully intercepted two Iranian UAVs, bringing the total of drone attacks to 2,265.
According to the UAE, since the beginning of the ongoing Iranian attacks on UAE regions, the air defense has engaged a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,265 UAV’s.
Despite the UAV attacks launched by the Iranians, the defense ministry confirmed that no casualties or injuries were recorded on May 10.
“The Ministry of Defense announced that on May 10, 2026, UAE air defense systems successfully engaged 2 UAV’s launched from Iran. Since the onset of these blatant Iranian attacks, UAE air defenses have engaged a total of 551 ballistic missiles, 29 cruise missiles, and 2,265 UAV’s. No martyrs, fatalities, or injuries have been reported in the past hours,” the UAE ministry reported.
UAE War Casualties
According to the reports on the casualties by the Ministry of Defense, the total number of martyrs is two as of May 10, in addition to the martyrdom of a Moroccan civilian contracted with the Armed Forces since the first launch of the Iranian attacks.
Further, the Ministry noted that the total number of civilian casualties is currently at 10, with the casualties being Pakistani, Nepalese, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, Indian, and Egyptian nationalities.
In addition, the Ministry reported that the number of injuries had spiked, reaching 230 since the first account.
Individuals injured in the Iranian attacks to the UAE states include nationalities that are Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepalese, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian.

Iranian Attacks on the UAE
On May 8, the air defense system engaged 2 ballistic missiles and 3 UAV attacks from Iran, which resulted in 3 moderate injuries.
An earlier announcement by the Ministry of Defense on May 5 stated that the air defense had confirmed missiles and drone attacks in several regions that were successfully intercepted.
On May 4, the UAE air defense system had also engaged in 12 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 4 UAV’s all from Iran.
Further, on May 10, the Ministry of Defense announced another two UAV attacks that originated from Iran without any report of injuries or casualties.

UAE Response to Iranian Attacks
The Ministry of Defense has affirmed its readiness to deal with any threats against its nationals and foreign nationals in the UAE.
In addition, the Ministry of Defense will also counter attacks by the Iranians that aim at undermining the security of the country.
Further, the Ministry of Defense will continue to protect its sovereignty, security, and stability of the UAE’s interests and national capabilities.
