The Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) has announced the registration dates for the 2025 KCSE and the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA).
KNEC CEO David Njengere said the Commission will start registering KPSEA candidates on January 27, 2025.
The registration of KCSE and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment candidates will commence on February 17, 2025.
“KNEC will commence registration of the 2025 KPSEA on January 27, 2025, and Kenya Junior School Education Assessment and KCSE on February 17, 2025,” he said.
He urged school principals to ensure accurate student details are captured during registration.
Njegere informed Education CS Julius Ogamba that the Commission often faces challenges with students’ details during registration.
“I wish to appeal to all centre managers to ensure that all candidates are registered accurately,” he said.
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of schools paying close attention to the spelling of candidates’ names, the arrangement of names, and the subjects they register for.
The CEO urged parents to collaborate with school administrators to ensure accuracy in the registration process.
“Parents must also take responsibility by coordinating with schools to ensure that every candidate is registered with correct details,” he added.
Njegere reminded the public that the last KCSE exams will be done in 2027 and invited those who are interested in taking a repeat to take advantage of the remaining three years.
“I wish to remind the public that the last KCSE examination will be administered in 2027. Any person wishing to repeat fully or partially should take advantage of the remaining chances to do so,” he said.
