TotalEnergies Kenya Announces Appointment of New Executive Director

TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya PLC has announced the appointment of Fernanda Schröder as a Non-Executive Director, effective 28th November 2024.

Her appointment has been approved by the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and will be officially published on 14th March 2025.

Fernanda brings over a decade of experience in the energy industry, having held several senior roles within TotalEnergies, including positions in corporate and project financing, economic analysis, and financial planning.

Before joining TotalEnergies, she worked as an R&D Project Coordinator and PMO Engineer at TechnipFMC, a global oil and gas technology firm.

“The Board is confident that Fernanda’s experience and insights will contribute significantly to the continued growth and innovation of TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya PLC,” noted the board.

About the new TotalEnergies Executive Director

Fernanda holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.

She holds a Master of Science (MSc) in General Engineering from the École Centrale Lyon.

Further, her expertise is in various areas including project management, financial modeling, energy markets, and partnership development.

The Board of Directors expressed confidence in Fernanda’s ability to contribute to the company’s continued growth and innovation.

Additionally, she has 10 years’ experience in the energy industry, including multiple senior roles within TotalEnergies like Corporate and Project Financing Manager, Senior Economist, and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager.

“Fernanda brings significant expertise in project management, partnership and relationship management, corporate finance, economic modelling, and energy markets.

“Her industry knowledge and proven track record of driving performance make her a valuable addition to the Board,” the board noted.

Guillaume Navez Resigns as Non-Executive Director

On the other hand, the Board also announced the resignation of Guillaume Navez from his position as Non-Executive Director, effective 28th November 2024.

The company expressed its gratitude for his invaluable contributions and wished him success in his future endeavors.

“The Board of Directors extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Guillaume Navez, who resigned as a Non-Executive Director effective 28th November 2024, for his invaluable contributions to the Company and wish him the very best in his future endeavors,” added the board.
