Baringo North has yet again recorded another banditry case, after a shooting left one injured and over 300 cows driven towards Paka hills in Tiaty.
The reported bandits struck Loruk area on Wednesday around 12pm, heavily armed and started shooting forcing herders to leave the cows and run to hide.
Police who engaged the bandits in a fierce shot out were overpowered as bandits made away with the loot.
The raid has since forced residents of Tiaty living in Loruk to close shops for fear of retaliatory attack.

In November 2022, President William Ruto assured the residents of Kerio Valley that his government will take decisive measures to ensure security and peace prevail in the region.
