The Health Officer, Mr. Ngechu confirmed to have seized a carton of the liquor, which is currently undergoing tests to determine what chemical caused the deaths.

The illicit liquor had been attained by a group of Isiolo residents who had traveled to sell their livestock at the Rodongokwe market, who went ahead to buy the liquor and sell it to the residents of Longopito and Oldonyiro.
Investigations to determine the chemical that led to their death are underway as a surveillance team combs through the area for any remaining liquor.
