A four-day-old baby has been rescued by police in Kisii County from a church latrine.
The infant is said to have been dumped in the latrine within Rioma Catholic Church compound in Marani.
Moreover, the Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kases, reported that passersby heard the baby girl crying inside a latrine on Tuesday, April 18 at around 2.30pm, prompting a quick response from Rioma Police officers.
The police officers carefully demolished the latrine to save the baby. They found her wrapped in a ragged piece of cloth writhing in pain but otherwise unharmed.
Additionally, the baby girl was taken to Marani Level 4 Hospital for emergency treatment.

Nevertheless, the police officers and their DCI counterparts, have launched a manhunt for the baby’s mother.
