Celebrated Kenyan Songstress Nyota Ndogo has come out to bash women who persevere violent men in their marriages.
The mother of two, through her official Facebook page wondered why some women would stick with men who beat them.
In a post seen by The Kenyan Times, Nyota Ndogo disclosed she is tired of advising fellow women to ditch marriages marred with domestic violence.
According to the Watu Na Viatu hitmaker, most women suffering in the hands of violent men do not want to leave because of very “stupid” reasons.
Nyota Ndogo noted that some of those women refuse to leave claiming they would rather tolerate the violence than walking away from men who are good in bed.
“Sijawai kusikia sababu ya kijinga kiasi hiki.mtu unanistakia mumeo anakupiga kila mara mpaka umeoata mwanya ambao haukuandikiwa na MUNGU yani kakupa pengo kwa ngumi. Nakuuliza why bado upo kwenye ndoa hio unanijibu nikwasababu his good in bed. Haya subiri meno yote yatolewe unanijibu kuna yakubandika.
Kwangu ushauri ulikua wataka gani? Sometimes uwa munanijaribu tu sio,” Nyota Ndogo wrote on Facebook.
Nyota Ndogo’s sentiments were echoed by most of her followers who camped on the comments section to bash women who tolerate beatings because of copulation.
Others, however, differed with her, holding that a loving woman should not leave her man despite any challenges experienced in their unions.
It should be noted Nyota Ndogo has always been championing and fighting for women’s rights.
Through her social media pages, the singer has been advising fellow women on how to lead happy marriage lives.
