Police in Narok County on Thursday, March 30 repulsed a group of rowdy youths who were found attempting to invade Kedong ranch which is linked to the family of former President Uhuru Kenyatta at the border of Narok East.
According to reports, police patrolled the area before they spotted armed youth breaching the security fence to trespass into the ranch.
Tear gas canisters were lobbed to disperse the rowdy youths.

“We received reports that some members of the youth from the neighbouring community planned to invade the more than 75,000-acre expansive land and destroy property. We deployed anti-riot officers from 6 am,” County Commissioner Isaac Masinde said in a statement.
The officer further stated that no property was destroyed during the attempted raid on former President Uhuru’s ranch.
The attempted invasion of the Kedong Ranch comes two days after a set of rowdy youths invaded the property owned by the Kenyatta family in Kiambu.
