Robert Ingasira Biography
Robert Ingasira is a financial expert who has made great strides in the financial sector in Kenya.
Ingasira currently works as the Social Health Authority’s acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The financial specialist was appointed at the helm of the authority following the suspension of SHA CEO Elijah Wachira.

Ingasira has served as the Director of the institution since October 2023.
His roles included leading and developing the finance team, establishing sound financial management practices, managing the ERP finance and accounting system, overseeing financial activities such as inventory and cash management, and ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements.
Prior to his appointment as NHIF director of Financial Services, Robert worked as the General Manager of Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation.
He has also worked as Chief Manager of Finance and Administration in the Privatization Commission of Kenya from November 2017 to September 2018.
Robert also worked as the Head of Finance in the Competition Authority of Kenya from April 2013 to October 2017.
Isangira worked as a Senior Manager of Finance at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics from July 2009 to April 2013.
Robert has also worked as an accountant at Kenya Revenue Authority from November 2001 to June 2009.
He also worked as an accountant at Kenya Industrial Research Development Institute from January 199 to November 2001.
Education Background
The financial expert holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a focus on Finance from Moi University. Robert also has a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Nairobi.
Additionally, he holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Human Resource Management.
