New PSV Company in Nairobi Announces Jobs for Drivers and Conductors

A new player in the Public Service Transport sector has announced job opportunities. The County Bus Service (CBS) has advertised vacancies for both bus conductors and drivers.

In a notice dated Monday, February 10, 2025, the bus company called on qualified candidates to apply for these positions.

“CBS, a new entrant in the Public Service Transport sector within the Nairobi Metropolis, wishes to recruit bus conductors for its fleet. Applicants should meet the following minimum qualifications,” read the statement.

County Bus Service Advertises Job Vacancies for Conductors

According to the job advertisement, candidates applying for the conductor position must meet the following requirements:

a) Be a Kenyan citizen aged not more than 35 years.

b) Hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

c) Have working experience in a Public Service Transport Vehicle company or a transport Sacco licensed by NTSA.

d) Possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

e) Demonstrate good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.

f) National Youth Service (NYS) trained personnel will have an added advantage.

g) Diploma graduates are highly encouraged to apply.

Vacancy for Bus Drivers

Similarly, candidates applying for the driver position must meet the following qualifications:

a) Be a Kenyan citizen aged not more than 40 years.

b) Hold a Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with a minimum grade of C-.

c) Have a valid driving license with at least five years of experience.

d) Have experience driving Public Service passenger buses within the Nairobi Metropolis.

e) Possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct.

f) Be NTSA-accredited with a valid PSV license.

g) Have a clean accident-free record.

h) National Youth Service (NYS) trained personnel will have an added advantage.

i) Diploma graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
