Chief Justice Martha Koome has announced that all the pending election related cases will be concluded by Friday, July 15.
The declaration by Chief Justice Koome came after she had a meeting with the Judiciary leadership team on Monday, July 11.
Moreover, the announcement comes at a time when IEBC had announced that it may be forced to postpone elections in areas with pending cases in court.
Similarly, IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati noted that the election exercise may be compromised if the 31 dispute cases pending in various courts are not finalized.
“If for any reason they are not finalized in good time then as a commission we cannot wait forever. We shall be forced to suspend the elections in those areas where decisions are made that affect the printing of ballot papers,” he stated.
Furthermore, among the high profile election cases in court include petitions challenging the clearance of Wiper Mombasa Gubernatorial candidate Mike Mbuvi Sonko and UDA Nairobi Gubernatorial candidate Johnson Sakaja.

Nevertheless, Chebukati stressed that elections must be carried out come August 9 because the electoral body has already commenced printing ballot papers.
IEBC began the ballot paper printing on July 1. Additionally, the first batch of the papers which contained 128 pallets arrived in the country on July, 7.
Moreover, the commission has also begun transporting general election materials among other logistics from their headquarters to the various county and constituency offices.
