Dem Wa Facebook is a Kenyan comedian who started a career as a footballer before venturing into comedy.
Her early passion was football, which she started playing at the age of 9 while in class six, and, following her talent, she received a scholarship to Brenda Girls High School in Bungoma County.
Early Life and Educational Background
Dem Wa Facebook, whose full name is Millicent Ayuwa, was born in Kitale, Trans Nzoia County, and is the second-born child of Albert Obai and Jackline Namae.
For her primary education, Millicent attended Kabuyefwe Primary School, where in class six she started playing football.
After completing her primary education, she joined Brenda Girls High School.
However, in the third term in Form One, she was transferred because she used to sneak out of school, since the school was near her home.
Her parents later transferred her to Nasokol Girls in West Pokot, where she completed her secondary education, scoring a C+ in her Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.
“I joined Brenda Girls, but I was a naughty child, and I was transferred to Nasokol Girls in West Pokot in Form One, Term Three, since I used to sneak from school because it was near home” Millicent Ayuwa stated during an interview with Alex Mwakideu and Mwashube.
Upon completing her secondary education, she joined Bungoma Polytechnic, where she studied plumbing.
Due to a lack of funds for school fees, Millicent did not complete her plumbing course; however, she briefly practiced plumbing.
