Biography
Professor Abraham Kithure Kindiki, the Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Interior and National Administration in Kenya, is a distinguished figure with a robust educational background and a notable political journey.

Kindiki Educational Background
Kindiki’s educational journey began at Lenana School in Nairobi, where he completed his secondary education.
Despite initially scoring a Grade C, he pursued his ambitions diligently, repeating his final year to improve his grades.
Subsequently, he enrolled in Moi University’s Bachelor of Laws program, graduating in 1998. His academic excellence led him to pursue a Master of Laws and a Ph.D. at the University of Pretoria in South Africa, specializing in International Human Rights Law and Democracy.
In 2004, Professor Kindiki joined the University of Nairobi as a lecturer of law, where he excelled and eventually became the Head of the Department of Public Law & Senior Lecturer.
Known as one of the country’s best lawyers, he has also gained international recognition for his scholarly works with organizations like the United Nations.

Kindiki’s political career took off in 2011 when he transitioned from academia to politics, successfully securing the Tharaka Nithi senatorial seat and serving two consecutive terms.
