Director Trevor Bashes Mungai Eve After Her Interview with Simon Kabu

Digital creator Director Trevor has called out his former partner Mungai Eve over her trending interview with Bonfire Adventures Chief Executive Officer Simon Kabu.

Sharing on his Instagram stories, Trevor termed the interview unprofessional, embarrassing, and lacking objectivity. He also urged Mungai Eve to apologize publicly and redo the interview.

“The trending video of Simon Kabu is honestly disappointing. The interviewer crossed the line, it was unprofessional, embarrassing, and lacked objectivity. They should publicly apologize and redo the interview properly. Simon is truly a patient man,” wrote the director.

Mungai Eve has come under sharp criticism online over her interview with the CEO, where she asked questions about his estranged marriage.

Mungai Eve asks Simon uncomfortable questions

During the interview, Eve constantly interrupted Kabu and asked questions that appeared uncomfortable to him. In his response to most of the questions, Simon stated that he did not want to discuss the issue, but the interviewer kept on probing.

“Personally you guys have disappointed me I would not lie, why do we have to get to know all this about you guys?” asked Eve.

“You know I don’t want to discuss that issue because Sarah is the mother of my kids and so the far that it has gone I will not want to discuss it,” Simon replied.

Mungai went on to ask how the CCTV footage went online stating that people are accusing him of leaking them.

“When that thing happened, the nanny went to the police and wrote a statement…” said Simon before he was cut short.

“But how did the clip get online?” interrupted Eve.

Simon refuses to comment on assaulting the wife

Simon responded by saying that the matter was under investigation and therefore the police asked for the clip. He went on to say that lawyers had the clip, and many other people had the clip so it could have been leaked.

He was also accused of physically abusing his wife as had been claimed by the wife before, who stated that she had reported the matter to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

“You have been accused of gender-based violence at a time when we have been having femicide cases in the country. What can you say about that?” asked the interviewer.

“I don’t want to talk about that, please allow me not to say anything about it,…” stated Kabu before being interrupted again.

Eve then asked him whether his failure to comment was because he was guilty, but the CEO maintained that he did not want to comment about a matter in court.

The business will not be affected by the couple

The CEO also stated that the business would not be affected by the scuffle between the now estranged couple.

“I want to ensure fans and followers and customers that the company will still be running as usual. There are times we have traveled for over two months and the company has been running,” said Simon.

Mungai Eve was conducting the interview at the end-year party of the travel and tours company Bonfire Adventures founded and owned by the couple that has now split; Simon Kabu and Sarah Mtalii.

The couple has had a strained relationship after reports of their apparent brawl surfaced on social media over the past few weeks.
