Content creator Eve Mungai has exposed her ex-boyfriend Director Trevor for allegedly controlling her Instagram account and insisting that she should not follow more than 200 people.
Mungai made the revelation in an interview with content creator Lydia Wanjiru where she explained why she had unfollowed the creator. She added that her boyfriend asked her to unfollow Lydia as she is not beautiful.
“He was unfollowing very many of my followers. I was being told not to follow more than 200 people. I was told to unfollow you because you are not beautiful,” said Mungai.
Lydia noted that she had been unfollowed by Mungai shortly after prophesying that her relationship would come to an end.
Eve Mungai and Director Trevor announced their break-up in 2024 which also led to the rebranding of the Mungai Eve Show where they worked together.
Following their break-up, the two have been engaging in indirect exchanges online and through interviews and social media posts.

Recently, Director Trevor narrated in an online interview how Mungai Eve mistreated him during their break-up and the reason behind his decision to take over the social media channel that they co-owned.

“She made me wait outside the door before sending me money to move out. Also, she made me wait for her to come back from her boyfriend’s place so as to inspect what I was moving out with,” said Trevor.
Reason behind break-up
Trevor also accused Eve of sending him money that was way less than what they had agreed on. He also expressed his disappointment looking back at everything they had built together.

“I was angry because I left her with all we built together, including the Nairobi home and their upcountry home, which we built. I sacrificed,” stated the director.
Mungai has also revealed through subsequent interviews after their break-up that their bond was not out of love but out of personal circumstances.
