“Why is Bonaventure Monyancha so bitter? Trying to bring every blogger down while aiming at your ex won’t help. Heal bro, to more interviews,” stated Jackie.

Mumias East Member of Parliament Peter Salasya also weighed in on the matter and strongly disagreed with Trevor. He said that it is through those interviews that content creators grow.

Director Trevor terms bloggers selfish

“The more they trend the more they get fame and the brand grows. Kwani unataka content creators wapate wapi clout ama following? (where do you want content creators to get clout or following?)” stated Salasya.

Trevor made a post on his Instagram stories urging artists and content creators to shun the interviews as they are meant to serve the selfish interests of the bloggers.

“Think about it, who is really giving you a platform so that you can win? The reality is, that most bloggers are in it for themselves. I have been in this space for over four years and trust me the goal is to get views, not to grow your career,” stated Trevor.

Nyashinski, Lynn Ngugi as examples

Trevor went on to state that it is possible to grow one’s brand without chasing interviews. He urged artists and content creators to strive to focus on creating great content and packaging the content right.

He urged them to take examples from the likes of content creators Lynn Ngugi, Dr. King’ori, and musician Nyashinski.

Director Trevor and Mungai Eve broke up in February 2024 which saw the closure of their channel ‘The Mungai Eve Show’ on YouTube. The two had founded the channel together in 2019 and worked together.
