During an interview with 2mbili TV, Kenyan musician Miss P revealed why she recently quit music and deleted all of her social media accounts.
The female artist stated that the pressure of being a celebrity in the music industry was overwhelming and too much to handle.
Miss P had been signed to Willy Paul’s Saldido International record label and had featured in popular songs such as Liar, Fall in Love, Mashallah and Tired. She had been with the label for approximately one year but eventually left after a scandalous fallout with her boss.
In the interview, Miss P discussed her spiritual journey and how it led to her decision to leave the music industry. Although she had always believed in Jesus Christ and had been saved for a long time, she recently realized there is a difference between being spiritual and being religious.

Miss P felt that we live in the end times and did not want to be caught doing something against God’s expectations. As a Christian, she believed it was essential to live a life that glorifies God in all aspects, including her career. Therefore, she decided to quit music and focus on her spirituality.
The musician also highlighted the challenges of being a woman in the music industry, particularly in dealing with male colleagues who often have ulterior motives. She had been frustrated with the constant management and label changes and felt overwhelmed by the expectations placed on female celebrities.
Despite the challenges, Miss P remained positive and focused on her faith. She deleted all of her social media accounts, cleared her name, and found peace in her decision. She has no plans to make a comeback in music and is content with her decision to prioritize her spirituality.
