Rachael Otuoma, widow of the late renowned footballer Ezekiel Otuoma has gifted her mother a house, months after her husband’s passing.
Rachael shared videos of the new house, furnished with state-of-the-art furniture, expressing her pride in the great achievement.

“Just as the song states, you deserve everything nice mama, I thank God I could do this. Long live my mum,” stated Rachel.

Months after her partner’s death, Rachael has also secured several brand deals, including one with Phone Store Kenya and another with a furniture store. Kenyans online have commended the creator for the achievement.

Ezekiel Otuoma passed away in December 2024 after battling Motor Neuron Disease for a long time.
Shortly after Otuoma’s passing, Rachael, who is also a content creator stated that she had made decisions that would help her deal with her husband’s loss, one of them being looking for jobs.
She stated that it had not been easy living without him after the time she spent as his primary caregiver since he became incapacitated.
Ezekiel Otuoma’s illness
“To be honest, staying in the house all the time makes me overthink. When I turn one corner, I see Otuoma’s picture smiling at me, and elsewhere I see Otuoma smiling at me from his favorite chair. I won’t give away this chair, I just want to find work and keep myself busy,” she stated.
Otuoma was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease in 2020, which affects the nerves, weakens the muscles of the body, and impedes physical movement.

At the time of his passing, Otuoma was unable to walk, and his speech had also been greatly affected as he could not speak properly.
The former football star played for AFC Leopards, Western Stima, Ulinzi Stars, Ushuru FC, and Muhoroni Youth. His last club was Talanta FC before he bowed out due to illness.
