American Rapper Rick Ross has recognized top Kenyan artists.
In a video made during his tour in Cape Town, South Africa, the American rapper sent shout-outs to Kenyan rapper Khaligraph Jones and Genge artist Mejja.Â
Other African musicians recognized by the American music star include Tanzania’s Diamond and Rosa Ree, Nasty C of South Africa, rapper Blakbonez from Nigeria, and Spice Diana of Uganda.
He also recognized notable African producers; Chopsticks from Nigeria and Kenyan DJ and producer DJ Toriko.

“These are the artists I want to shout – out while in Cape Town, while I am in Africa, Nasty C, Blackbonez, Khaligraph Jones, Yemi, Rosa Ree, and Spice Diana. Some producers Chopsticks Mejja and Dj Toriko and the list goes on. Southern Africa is coming,” stated Rick.
He posted the video in the company of former Big Brother Msanzi contestant Yolanda Mukondi, whom he regards as an iconic creator.

“Out here in Cape Town, I linked up with one of the most iconic creators in the country. We are taking this globally,” said the rapper.
Yolanda also posted a photo of herself with Rick Ross asking them to comment.

South Africa tour
The American rapper arrived in South Africa on Monday, January 14, 2025, for a music tour. The rapper has been documenting his experience and updating his fans on his social media platforms.

He stated that he is excited to be in South Africa.
