TV47 has unveiled a new team of news anchors including big names in the media industry.
In its quest to eat into the market share of big brothers, Cape Media raided several stations for talent.
For instance, Simon Gicharu, the billionaire who owns Mount Kenya University (MKU) as well swept Radio Maisha clean leaving the standard group owned brand limping.
From BBC, TV47 newsroom is joined by Grace Kuria, and Victor Muyakane.
George Mariga, Ahmed Bahaj and Fred Indimuli who recently quit KTN news also joined the Cape Media owned station.
TV47 is out to set the bar high in the competitive media space as they have picked some of the best media personalities.

For instance, Maringa, a former KTN News anchor, has over six years of experience in the industry reporting on political and social affairs.
Likewise, Grace Kuria boasts of broad experience having worked with K24, CGTN, KTN News and until recently BBC.
Furthermore, Fred Indimuli comes in with over 17 years of experience in the newsroom having worked for KBC, Citizen TV and later KTN News where he was until he quit early this year.
Ahmed Bahaja a great swahili sports reporter also joins the TV47 family not only for sports, but also to cover swahili reporting of social and political affairs.
The TV47 newsroom has been up and running for the last four years.
TV47 Unveil New Studio
Apart from acquiring new talent in their newsroom, TV47 on Tuesday, July 18 launched their new state-of-the-art studios in Muthaiga.
ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo and Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka are among the dignitaries who graced the occasion.
CS Owalo in his speech during the launch of the Cape Media owned studios, expressed his joy at TV47’s commitment to embracing new technologies and innovative practices in its journalistic endeavors.
“It is always cheerful to see media houses embracing new approaches to their assignments, and especially blending the ethics of legacy media with digital technology communication opportunities,” stated Owalo.

He further urged members of Cape Media to be mindful of the impact of their content on society, calling for responsible journalism.
“By acting responsibly, the media can safeguard its own credibility and maintain public faith in their work.” He added.
