Basic Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang has announced the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results release date.
Speaking in Mombasa during an education tour on Thursday, January 2, to prepare for school reopening, Kipsang allayed fears over delays in the release of the 2024 Form Four exam results.Â
He explained that the analysis of the results was ongoing.
Further, he asked Kenyans to stay patient, adding that the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) had decided to set the release dates in 10 days.
“This is the second year we are releasing results at the beginning of the year because you know the trouble with all of us is that when we release in December all of us say we are hurrying to release results.
“But we decided to take time to ensure all issues and everything is done to ensure smooth release of results,” said the PS.
Further, he said that the anxiety from parents and students could stem from the fact that there were no KCPE exams.Â
“But what is different this year is that we did not have the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), so it’s like something is missing. But we are releasing results within the next 10 days,” he said.
