The Member of Parliament for the Mwala constituency, Vincent Musyoka, has threatened to set area OCS on fire for allegedly allowing the sale of bhang to the local community.
During a press conference, Vincent accused the OCS of failing to act and allowing police officers to sell bhang to young people of the constituency.
“We cannot allow that Nonsense. We will burn the suspects with tyres for spoiling young people,” said Vincent Musyoka.
“ If we report another case on bhang use , we will surround you and act before your transfer”

Vincent Musyoka stated that if the alleged business continues, he will mobilise the local community to hold Francis Mutua and the officers accountable.
“I want you to remain as the OCS for a while and continue with the sale. We will act and ensure that you prohibit such businesses.”

Elsewhere, Police in Machakos, led by County Commander Patrick Lobolia and Deputy County Commander David Rotich, seized illicit brew worth 3.4 million shillings during a raid.
The illicit brew was discovered in a storage facility, and a Probox vehicle was also impounded at the scene.
Three suspects allegedly involved in the illegal brewing operation were arrested and arraigned in court for charges.
Court Declines to Block Rastafarian Arrests Over Cannabis Use, Citing Public Order
The High Court previously refused to issue orders to stop the arrest of Rastafarians for the use and possession of Bhang in Nairobi, ruling that police actions are lawful and justified in accordance with the constitution.
The court ruled that the use and possession of bhang remain prohibited under Kenyan laws, notably the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Control Act and other public order legislation.

It added that the police have the mandate and legal authority to enforce these provisions regardless of religious justification.
“Any change to decriminalisation or exemptions must come through Parliamentary amendment or legislative reform, not judicial override.”
Rastafarians had presented an application seeking to stop law enforcement officers from arresting and prosecuting Rastafarian individuals who use bhang as part of their religious and cultural practice.
They argued that the arrests violate constitutional rights to freedom of religion and cultural expression.
