Safaricom PLC has updated M-Pesa charges for sending and withdrawing money for 2026.
M-Pesa charges vary depending on the transaction amount and the type of transaction, such as sending or withdrawing money.
The transaction charges apply to different transaction types, including transfers to M-Pesa users, Pochi La Biashara and Business Till to Customer transactions, transfers to other registered mobile money users, and withdrawals made at M-Pesa agent outlets.
The charges vary depending on the minimum and maximum transaction amounts.
The cost of sending money via M-Pesa has been harmonized across networks.
Transfers to Airtel Money and Telkom’s T-Kash now match the rates for Safaricom-to-Safaricom transactions.
For example, sending Ksh500 will cost Ksh7, whether transferring to Safaricom, Airtel Money, or T-Kash.
