President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua have both scored a mean grade of D in the latest Infotrak report.
The Infotrak report released on Monday June 10 showed that Ruto scored 46 percent, a drop from the previous ranking of grade C at 52 percent in March 2024.
Ruto’s decline has been attributed to poor communication with Kenyans and poor handling of key issues affecting the citizens.
Meanwhile, DP Gachagua recorded a mean grade of D with a 42% rating, maintaining his grade despite the six percent drop from 48% in March.
Ruto and Gachagua’s Scores
On the variety of issues covered in the survey, Ruto received a 48% rating on engaging with Kenyans over the issues they face.
His popularity for hard work stood at 47 percent and he received a score of 45 percent on addressing issues concerning the citizens of Kenya.

Furthermore, under improving performance at the President’s office, the head of state scored 46 percent.
Gachagua scored 42 per cent on his ability to communicate to Kenyans as well as his delivery of assigned tasks.
However, the opposition government scored 47 percent, the Judiciary 46 percent and both the Senate and the National Assembly stood at 42 percent.
In the May rating, the Judiciary dropped from a B of 67 percent, the National Assembly and Senate also dropped from a C of 53 per cent while the opposition dropped from a B of 62 per cent to a D of 47 per cent.
On average, these three institutions scored a mean of D with 45 percent in the May 2024 ratings.

Performance of President Ruto’s Cabinet
Kithure Kindiki was once again placed as the top performing cabinet secretary with a mean grade B scoring 60 percent.
According to the study, communication, competency and service delivery were among the areas that Kindiki performed well.
He was closely followed by his Sports and Defence counterparts Ababu Namwamba and Aden Duale who both scored C of 51 and 48 percent respectively in various areas.
Mithika Linturi maintained his position as the worst performing minister receiving a grade of E with 38 percent.
Nonetheless, the report is based on the opinions of 1,700 Kenyans from different parts of the country.
The survey covered all the 47 counties, and eight regions of Kenya between May 23 to 29.
