The family of a Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) employee is in distress following the alleged abduction of their kin by police officers.
In a media interview with Citizen TV, Engineer Eliud Ng’ang’a revealed that officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) raided his home in Ruiru, Kiambu County.
“I asked the men outside my gate who they were and what they wanted, but they declined to answer,” Ng’ang’a said.
After noticing the officers’ reluctance to disclose their identities, Ng’ang’a instructed his son to record a video of their vehicle number plates.
A commotion ensued, during which Ng’ang’a claimed that one of the officers reached into his pocket, drew his gun, and threatened his son against filming their number plates and faces.
“One of the officers threatened to shoot my son, and I told him that if they wanted to kill my son, they should start with me,” Eliud recounted.
Ng’ang’a alleges that DCI officers tried to abduct him
According to Eliud, the officers later received a phone call and decided to abort their mission.
“Each car had a driver inside, and there was a lady in one of the Subaru cars. I asked them what they really wanted. If it is me they want, then I am here,” Ng’ang’a narrated.
Eliud, who is also a pastor, believes the attempted abduction was linked to a recent sermon he delivered, criticizing the Kenya Kwanza government.

The detectives allegedly told the priest not to allow Gachagua within the church premises, claiming that his presence would breach the peace.
According to the reports, the detectives did not disclose any evidence of how Gachagua could breach peace to the priest, and even after he turned up, there was no breach of the peace.
