The select committee on the appointment of the new Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has been sworn in.
President William Ruto appointed the seven-member panel last week.
Speaking after swearing in the committee, Public Service Commission chairperson Amb. Anthony Muchiri has urged the select panel to ensure a fair and transparent recruitment process.
“As you may already be aware, an independent office such as the DPP carries immense power and responsibility; hence, the holder of such an office needs to be selected very meticulously, ” said Amb. Muchiri.
