Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula has welcomed PAA’s Amason Kingi and Maendeleo Chap Chap leader Alfred Mutua to the Kenya Kwanza Coalition.
The Machakos governor and Kilifi governor are yet to officially address the issue on the claims that they are joining the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
However, Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula, through his tweet today, welcomed the two party leaders to the alliance supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s presidential bid.
Wetangula stated that the duo’s entry comes with additional energy to their alliance ahead of the August 9 polls.

“Congratulations Maendeleo Chap Chap and PAA political parties for joining the Kenya Kwanza Alliance Coalition. Your entry brings in additional energy and guarantees, even more, Kenya Kwanza Alliance’s assured victory in the August 9 General elections. Hongera,” he said.
This move comes after the duo’s protests against exclusion from the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance.
On Friday, May 6, Governor Mutua claimed that the Registrar and the Azimio Coalition had refused to give them a copy of the Azimio coalition agreement.
He reported that his party will on Monday May 9, decide on the way forward having in mind the plans to zone Maendeleo Chap Chap party candidates out, and the deadlines set by law.
