President William Ruto has announced new leadership appointments within the senior ranks of the National Police Service.
The President has appointed Douglas Kanja Kirocho as the Deputy Inspector-General, Kenya Police Service.
Kanja was the General Service Unit (GSU) Commandant.
Gideon Munga Nyale takes over leadership as the Commandant at Kiganjo Police Training Institute.

Nyale takes over from Bruno Shioso who the President has appointed as the new Director-General of the Kenya Coast Guard Service.
The Head of State also appointed Eliud Kipkoech Lagat to be the Commandant, General Service Unit and Ranson Lolmodoni to be the Director of Operations in the National Police Service.
The appointments have been made in line with recommendations from the National Police Service Commission.
