Amnesty further urged the authorities to launch a prompt, independent and transparent investigation into the alleged abduction and hold those responsible accountable.
It also called for an immediate halt to any efforts to remove him from Kenyan jurisdiction, warning that every hour without information heightened the risk of irreparable harm.

The alleged abduction comes weeks after a businessman from Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate was reportedly abducted by armed men in Shauri Moyo.
Ali Aidid Ali is a well-known businessman from Nairobi’s Eastleigh estate and owner of ATIS Hotel.
According to his family, the incident occurred on the night of March 7 in Nairobi’s Eastlands area.
Jamal recounted that witnesses told them his father had been intercepted near the junction of Shauri Moyo and Yusuf Haji Avenue by occupants of two SUVs — a white Prado and a black Prado.
He said the men, estimated to be about eight in number, were armed and dressed in jungle-green uniforms before allegedly forcing Ali into one of the vehicles and driving away.
“While at the junction of Shauri Moyo and Yusuf Haji Avenue, he was ambushed by two SUV Prados, one white and one black, as we were told by witnesses. They were armed, and they sped away with him. They were around eight men, armed and with jungle green uniforms,” said Jamal.
