Year in, year out the IEBC has been on the receiving end for failing to pay all the officials engaged in different elections.
Many cases of IEBC officials, specifically juniors not receiving their pay on time and sometimes not even receiving a dime completely have been rampant in every election year.
The 2022 General Election is not an exception as The Kenya Times has learnt.
A host of junior IEBC officials are yet to be paid almost a month after the election; this writer understands.
The aforementioned was brought to the public eye by Embakasi East MP Babu Owino on Wednesday, September 28, through his Instagram page.
The vocal politician fearlessly called out IEBC leadership for not paying its junior officials.
According to Babu Owino, he had received information that senior officials had been paid with their juniors still waiting for their pay in vain.

Babu wanted IEBC to consider the junior officials who worked for several days without proper meals and sanitation and pay them their dues.
“IEBC should pay all officials who worked for them during Elections. It is Ill mannered for someone to work for several days without proper food, sanitation and still don’t pay,” Babu wrote.
Babu Owino‘s expose was echoed by many of his followers who also called out the electoral body, urging them to pay its junior officials.
